Analysis Of The Synthesis Method Of Persian Lon Wool Top
May 24, 2025
As a new type of synthetic fiber material, Persian lon wool top has attracted much attention in the textile industry due to its excellent warmth retention, softness and environmental protection properties. Understanding its synthesis method will help to better grasp its performance advantages and promote the international trade and application of related products.
The synthesis of Persian lon wool top is mainly based on the modification technology of polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber. Its core process includes three key steps: polymerization, spinning and post-treatment. First, in the polymerization stage, acrylonitrile monomer is mixed with other comonomers (such as methyl acrylate or itaconic acid) and solution polymerization is carried out under the action of an initiator to form a copolymer with a specific molecular structure. This process directly affects the strength, elasticity and dyeing properties of the fiber.
Then enter the spinning stage, using wet spinning or dry-jet wet spinning technology, the polymer solution is extruded through the spinneret and enters the coagulation bath to form primary fibers. The coagulation bath usually contains solvents and precipitants, such as sodium sulfate or calcium nitrate, to ensure the stability of the fiber structure. The spinning speed, temperature and coagulation bath concentration need to be precisely controlled to optimize the cross-sectional morphology and mechanical properties of the fiber.
The post-processing stage is the key to determining the final characteristics of Persian lon tops. The nascent fibers need to go through processes such as stretching, washing, oiling and drying. Stretching can improve the orientation and crystallinity of the fibers and enhance their strength; washing removes residual solvents and impurities; oiling improves the smoothness and antistatic properties of the fibers; and finally hot air drying is used to shape the fibers to ensure the stability of fiber size.
In recent years, in order to improve environmental protection, some processes have used water-soluble solvents to replace traditional organic solvents, and introduced closed-loop recycling systems to reduce pollution during the production process. In addition, by adding functional additives such as flame retardants or antibacterial agents, the application areas of Persian lon tops can be further expanded.
Mastering the synthesis method of Persian lon tops not only helps to optimize the production process, but also provides technical support for foreign trade companies to meet the international market's demand for high-performance and sustainable textile materials.
