Product Introduction

Sustainability claims in textiles are only worth as much as the paperwork behind them. CiCLO® gives brands and manufacturers something with actual testing behind it - not a marketing label, a patented fiber technology from Intrinsic Advanced Materials (IAM), LLC, with independent lab data to back it up.

Who stands behind the claim

CiCLO® is a registered trademark, and everything IAM says about the technology - how it works, what it does to reduce microplastic pollution over a textile's lifecycle, what it does for a product's environmental profile - comes from IAM directly. We're not the manufacturer. We're the official CiCLO® representative and distributor in China, sourcing yarn from IAM-certified spinning mills. Every batch we sell gets tested and certified through IAM, so what you're buying is verified at the source, not just labeled at the point of sale.

How to order

Fill out the contact form on our site, or just tell us directly what you need - fiber type, spec, quantity - and our sales team gets back to you with pricing and a lead time. Made-to-order polyester filament usually runs 3–5 tons MOQ; nylon filament, 1–2 tons. Below that? Talk to us anyway. We keep spinning polyester fiber in stock for smaller or urgent orders, and for other staple specs, just ask what's available right now.

Lead time on made-to-order runs 1–2 months from confirmation - predictable enough to plan production around.

Beyond standard fiber

Polyester and nylon in common specs are the baseline. We also carry high-tenacity yarns for sewing thread, monofilament for specific processes, and nylon staple developed for less common applications - useful if you're trying to build something that doesn't look identical to everyone else's line.

One thing to get right: the hangtag

Buying CiCLO® fiber gets you a Certificate of Authenticity - proof the material is genuine. It doesn't get you permission to put the CiCLO® logo on your product or use it in marketing. That's a separate step: written authorization from IAM, applied for in advance. Skip it and you're using a trademark you don't have rights to, which isn't a risk worth taking over a hangtag. We can walk you through the application when you're ready.

CiCLO isn't a different fiber - it's standard polyester or nylon with one thing added.

Questions buyers usually ask

  • Can CiCLO® actually be detected in a finished fabric, or is it just a claim?
It's built in at the extrusion stage as a traceable additive, so it's detectable through the finished fabric - not something that has to be taken on faith. Certified producers get a Certificate of Authenticity as proof, which is what backs the hangtag and any co-marketing.

  • Is CiCLO® the same as compostable?
No, and mixing the two up is a common mistake. Compostable materials need an industrial composting facility and have to hit specific benchmarks - 90% carbon conversion within 180 days under ASTM D6400, for example. Most composting facilities don't even accept textiles. CiCLO isn't built for that system. It is engineered to break down in real-world waste environments where synthetic microfibers accumulate-including seawater, soil, wastewater treatment plant sludge, and anaerobic landfills.

  • Does dyeing or finishing interfere with the biodegradation?

Standard dyeing and finishing treatments generally do not interfere with the technology's performance. Independent testing confirms that CiCLO® technology-which holds Eco Passport by OEKO-TEX® certification-allows synthetic fibers to successfully biodegrade into natural elements like carbon dioxide, water, and biomass without compromising environmental safety.

  • Is the fiber itself safe?
Yes. The chemistry is OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT certified, meeting industry regulatory standards for human safety. Separately, independent ecotoxicity testing confirms that the biodegradation process of CiCLO® polyester in soil and aquatic environments is non-toxic to plant growth and marine life.

  • If only part of a garment is CiCLO fiber, does the whole thing degrade?
CiCLO blends with cotton, wool, Tencel, spandex - whatever else is in the yarn. Its presence doesn't change how those other fibers behave or degrade. What degrades is the CiCLO-treated portion; the rest of the blend follows its own natural properties.

  • Why do degradation rates differ across tests?
There's no fixed "correct" rate - it comes down to microbial density and diversity, temperature, and local conditions, and those vary by lab and by real-world environment. What stays consistent across every test is the comparison: CiCLO fiber degrades meaningfully faster than untreated synthetic fiber, every time.
